About DM at the U
Dance Marathon at the University of Utah is a completely student-led nonprofit organization supporting our local Children's Miracle Network hospital, Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. During our Spring semester, we hold our annual Main Event - a Dance Marathon tradition across the nation. During Main Event, we invite kids and families treated at Primary's and celebrate them, their stories, the sacrifices their families had to make, and our year-long efforts to support them and Primary Children's.
In Spring 2025, the University of Utah joined a network of over 400 college and high school campuses in the advocacy for children's healthcare. In our first year, we raised $30,088 for the kids, families, and facilities at Primary Children's, as well as built a community of over 300 students at the U passionate about giving back to the hospital.

Make Big Change for All Kids
Our Mission
To engage the University of Utah community in leadership and service work while raising awareness and crucial funding for Primary Children’s Hospital. To not only support Primary Children’s philanthropically, but to make each kid, family, and caregiver feel valued, understood, and appreciated.

Our Vision
A cross-campus community at the University of Utah, where students, faculty, and staff are engaged in the annual tradition of getting involved in Dance Marathon to promote the health and well-being of thousands of children in the Salt Lake area.
My favorite thing about Dance Marathon is seeing the impact of a community united by its mission to support children and families at Primary Children’s Hospital. It has shown me how powerful people can be when they come together to make a difference.
