But I don't dance?!
Neither do we! We use 'dance' as an overarching verb. To dance means to advocate, to be passionate, to be empathetic, etc. At our Main Event, we do party and celebrate and dance a little bit, but nothing you should be worried about!
Who are you fundraising for?
We are fundraising for the kids and families being treated at Primary Children's Hospital, our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital located in Salt Lake City.
What do you do during the school year?
Throughout the year, we host many small events to fundraise and raise awareness for Dance Marathon and Primary Children's. We will also participate in service projects, spend time with our Miracle Families, and have the best time ever!
What if I am not part of Greek Life or another large student organization on campus?
You don't need to be involved in either! Everyone is welcome in DM - no questions asked! Our goal is to be a home to all students at the U. Even if you aren't a part of any other orgs, Dance Marathon can be your first! Many of our participants aren’t members of Greek Life or large student organizations, and you’re more than welcome to create a team with a couple of friends or fundraise as an individual. You can truly make DM whatever you want it to be and determine how you want it to integrated into your life. You can also be involved as a member of our committee. Participating in DM at the gives you the chance to meet so many other amazing people and make new friends!
When and where is Main Event?
Main Event 2027 will be on March 27, 2027 in the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter on campus!
